In an article today by the Enquirer's Peter Bronson, the US army, may consider apologizing for one of their representatives saying that former Reds great Pete Rose dropped the f-bomb in a recent speech at an Army sponsored youth baseball camp. You can see it here
Let me just say, that I am a Pete guy. I believe he is one of the greatest Baseball players to ever pick up a bat. He is undeniably the greatest hitter of all time. I also support him for the HoF, as a player and the Hit King but... as a person, and a human being, he is just another on a long list of generally disgusting people with amazing athletic talent. I can't figure out why everyone keeps getting bent out of shape when Pete does something incredibly stupid, he's been doing it forever, all of my life anyway. Just accept that Pete was a great player with a horrible attitude. It makes things much easier to sort out.
